Labyrinth Communion: A New Year’s Vesper Service in Yangon

Beginning the semester with a labyrinth communion service allowed time for reflection and prayer. The evening began with singing, prayer and a brief introduction to praying on a labyrinth. We then formed a circle around the labyrinth and spent time preparing ourselves for the sacred communion meal. Each walker received the bread at the gate, of the labyrinth and then the cup upon entering the center. After walking back to the gate we all formed a circle and shared some of the blessings of the time. It was quiet and peaceful, a time of renewal, rededication, and requesting help.
