As we drove towards the town of Falam where we would be leading a four-day workshop on transformational leadership, we were in awe of the amazing beauty of the mountains and the wonder of driving through and above the clouds that would emerge, envelop us and then disappear. Our prayers were full of thanks for the opportunity to be the first western religious leaders to visit this region since 1966. The six and a half hour journey included reflection on all that we saw. We encountered a landslide which provided an opportunity to stretch our legs, practice patience, and join a crowd of other travelers who watched a bulldozer clear the road. Afterwards, as we drove on, we continued to pray, asking God to prepare our hearts to serve those who we would be meeting, preaching to, and teaching.
