The Creation Story: The Good Samaritan Window at Chartres (Part 2)

The upper half of the Good Samaritan stained glass window in the Chartres Cathedral (France) communicates the story of the creation and fall of humanity. Like most medieval windows, it is “read” from bottom (earth) to top (heaven) and from left to right. This window illustrates the power of  both color and image. As you let these images in, notice how both your mind and body react. Let your thoughts and feelings lead you into prayer.
