The Apostles: A Stained-Glass Account at Chartres

Images of the calling of the disciples by Jesus, his teaching them, and sending them out to minister form in the lower part of the Apostles window at Chartres. This immense stained glass window can be found on the ground level of the church in the East. 12 rows of 3 images rise towards the vault. As you consider these images, ask yourself, “Who is Jesus to me?” and “What does it mean to follow Jesus?”
