Contemplative Women Sculptures At Chartres Cathedral

On the North Porch at Chartres are a series of six sculptures of women in various states of contemplation. They are found on East bay on the inner right edge of the outer porch (as one views it from the street).

Ask yourself, “What passage of the Scriptures would it help me to contemplate today?” After reading the text, assume the position of one of these contemplative women. Let your  body lead you deeply into contemplation.
